This site counts its visitors so we can see which books and chapters are read. It does not use cookies, advertising or third-party trackers, and nothing is sold or shared.
- What is recorded for each page you open: the page, the time, the website you came from, your browser, operating system, screen size, language and time zone, and roughly where you are (country and city, looked up from your IP address).
- How far down the page you scrolled and how long it was open, and a few actions such as switching Jyutping or Chinese characters on and off, using the chapter bar, or playing a sound.
- Your IP address is kept in full for 90 days, then its last part is erased. It is only visible to the site's administrator.
- To count each visitor once a day without a cookie, a code is made from your IP address and browser together with a secret that changes every day. It cannot be used to follow you from one day to the next.
- If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, nothing at all is recorded.
